Natural Soap Products

Our soaps are made with premium ingredients not found in commercially made soap – avocado oil, babassu oil, evening primrose oil, macadamia nut oil, jojoba oil, shea and mango butters, and pure essential oils. Each has unique skin care uses and benefits, and each soap is formulated with a particular use in mind. Click on any of the links below to go straight to that section.

But use these categories as a guide. Just because a soap is designed with facial use in mind, for example, doesn't mean it can't also be a great bath or shower soap. Or a really nice hand soap. That's for you and your skin to decide.

All Purpose Soaps

Lavender Oatmilk is a moisturizing, skin conditioning bar soap made with oat flour, aloe vera gel, and a soothing blend of lavender, bergamot and coriander essential oils. Coconut, olive, rice bran, palm, palm kernel, and castor oils, with shea or mango butter and alkanet root powder for a deep purple hue.

Sensitive Skin Formula. A very gentle all-purpose bar with no additives for color or scent. Made with babassu, olive, palm kernel, and castor oil, cocoa butter and jojoba oil. Formulated especially for sensitive skin, but beneficial for all skin types.

New Fragrance Soaps! We are pleased to introduce a new line of soaps made with fragrance oils rather than essential oils. These are fun soaps with scents that either aren't possible or aren't practical to make with essential oils. All are made with a skin-friendly, lathery combination of rice bran, coconut, palm kernel, soy, and castor oils.

Jasmine Sandalwood blends two classic scents for a warm, tropical, sweetly woody fragrance.
Cucumber Melon combines the cooling, slightly astringent scent of cucumber with with an accent of melony sweetness.
Fresh Linen (the soap in the picture that's not labeled) is the aromatic definition of clean. A touch of baby powder, a hint of floral, and the freshness of spring rain.

Bath/Shower Soaps

Earthy Citrus makes a terrific shower, bath, or hand soap. Lathery and lightly fragrant with lime, lemongrass, and vetiver essentials oils. Bits of dried lemon peel provide gentle exfoliation. Coconut, rice bran, olive, palm, palm kernel & castor oils, cocoa butter, macadamia nut oil, and a pinch of powdered benzoin.

Rosemary Lemon. Our best seller! A refreshing, stimulating, and moisturizing bath or shower soap speckled with cornmeal, finely ground rosemary and an energizing blend of rosemary and lemongrass and/or litsea cubeba essential oils. Coconut, olive, rice bran, palm, palm kernel, avocado, and castor oils, and cocoa butter.

The Luxury Bar has an ultra-rich combination of moisturizing oils and butters especially for drier and more mature skin types. And we add hydrolyzed silk protein to give the lather an especially luxurious silky feel. Made with coconut, olive and avocado oils, cocoa, mango and shea butters, castor oil and skin rejuvenating evening primrose oil. Scented with a blend of palmarosa, lavender & vetiver essential oils, with just enough pink kaolin clay for color. Great for the bath, but also a wonderful facial soap.

Facial Soaps

Soothing Skin Refresher is a gently astringent soap especially formulated for oilier skin types. But it's also great for all skin types during hot, steamy summer weather when everyone's skin produces excess oil. Made with coconut oil, chamomile-infused olive oil, grapeseed, jojoba, and palm oils, aloe vera gel, palm kernel, and castor oils, with tea tree, clary sage and lemongrass essential oils.

Avocado Facial Bar is made with nutrient-rich pureed avocado whisked right into the soap batter, and a moisturizing combination of coconut, olive, rice bran, palm kernel, avocado, and castor oils, with cocoa butter and palm oil. Great for normal and dry or mature skin types. (Also see The Luxury Bar above, which is a another wonderful soap for drier and more mature skin types.) Bergamot, rose geranium, and lavender essential oils create a soothing scent blend.

Deep Cleansing Bar is made with Morrocan rhassoul clay. Unique among clays, rhassoul not only removes oils and toxins from the pores, it also remineralizes the skin, leaving behind trace amounts of vital minerals such as silica, potassium, magnesium, and calcium. A bit of cornmeal very gently exfoliates the skin, and mint, spearmint, lemongrass, and tea tree essential oils help make this a wonderfully rejuvenating skin treatment. Coconut, olive, palm kernel, rice bran, jojoba, castor, and grapeseed oils.

Hand Soaps

Kitchen Special, featured in Time Out Chicago is made with coffee, a natural odor-neutralizer. Use for its deodorizing benefit after mincing garlic, onions or other odiferous ingredients. Or, since it's said that caffeine can be absorbed through the skin, use as a morning wake-up aid on those days when you need a little extra boost to get started. Olive, coconut, palm kernel, palm, soy, and castor oils, with cocoa and shea butters and cocoa powder. Unscented.

Liquid Soaps/Shampoos

Liquid Soaps made with all-natural vegetable oils! No sodium xylenesulfonate. No dipropylene glycol. No ammonium lauryl sulfate. No chemical detergents of any kind. Just coconut, olive, rice bran, avocado or evening primrose, castor and jojoba oils with polysorbate 20, a plant-derived emulsifier that helps disperse the scent oils. Foam dispensers produce a rich, full lather. Refill sizes provide two complete refills.

Rosemary Mint is great for all uses and has a wonderfully fresh, clean scent.

Lemon Tea Tree is a natural alternative for anti-bacterial cleansing. Kill germs without harming the environment or punishing your skin.

Herbal Conditioning Shampoo is a natural treat for your hair. Gentle and sudsy, the formula capitalizes on the hair care benefits of macadamia nut and castor oils, and features hydrolyzed silk protein for shiny, lustrous hair. Essential oils include rosemary, cedarwood, and bay, all of which are said to promote healthy hair, along with a dash of peppermint essential oil for a fresh, herbal scent. Also includes coconut, jojoba, and olive oils, polysorbate 20 (a plant-derived emulsifier that helps disperse the essential oils), and sodium borate (natural borax used as a thickener).

New! Dog Shampoo with neem oil! For centuries, the people of India have used the leaves, bark, and oil from the neem tree for a multitude of human and animal skin and hair care treatments. Both formulas also use sulfated castor oil, a water soluble form of castor, to ensure that your dog's skin and coat retain the oils they need to be healthy and beautiful. Additional ingredients in both formulas include coconut, macadamia, olive and jojoba oils, with cedarwood, tea tree and citronella essential oils; the bar soap is also made with palm kernel oil and shea butter. The liquid contains polysorbate 20 (a plant-derived emulsifier) to help disperse the essential oils, and sodium borate (natural borax)as a thickener. Please note that the dog shampoos are not for use on cats or any other animal pets, as they cannot tolerate essential oils.

No, they don't explode. They fizz! And as they fizz, they release the intoxicating scent of lavender and eucalyptus essential oils, and moisturizing jojoba oil into your personal bath get-away. Each pair of bombs contains one with epsom salt (great for aching muscles) and one without. Made with baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, epsom salt (or not), jojoba oil, water, lavender & eucalyptus essential oils, and beet root powder.

Moisturizing Lavender Eucalyptus Bath Bombs

For maximum shelf life, please store in a cool, dry location: soaps made with all-natural vegetable oils will eventually degrade, a process that is hastened by exposure to sun and heat. Liquid soaps should be used within one year of purchase to avoid scent degradation. Pregnant or nursing women should consult their physicians before using any soap with herbal ingredients.

Our policy at Edgewater Soaps is to insure your satisfaction. Our products are guaranteed to be of the highest quality, but if any product is defective, we will gladly replace it or refund the price of the product. We will also gladly replace or refund the price of any product with which you are not entirely satisfied. Please note that we can only accept returned products that are unopened and unused. To obtain a replacement product or a refund, send us an e-mail at info@edgewatersoaps.com to let us know the reason for your dissatisfaction before returning the product(s). Returns must be properly packaged along with the packing slip and forwarded to us within 14 days of your receipt of the product. Return shipping to be paid by customer.
