We make our soaps using only natural plant-derived oils and butters, and only natural botanical and mineral additives for color and texture. No animal products or by-products, no chemical detergents or preservatives.
Why handcrafted soap? Because your skin will feel cleaner, softer, and healthier. Unlike most commercial soap products, handcrafted soap retains all the moisturizing glycerin that is naturally created as oils are converted to soap. Our soaps are made with many premium ingredients, including avocado oil, babassu oil, evening primrose oil, macadamia nut oil, jojoba oil, shea and mango butters, and pure essential oils. Each has unique skin care uses and benefits, and we formulate them to give you the best of what each has to offer.
Our liquid soaps and shampoos are also made with all plant-derived oils, just like our bar soaps. Also check out our new natural Dog Shampoo, available in both liquid and bar forms. Edgewater Soaps is proud to be one of the first soapmakers in the nation to be certified in cold process/hot process soap making by The Handcrafted Soap Makers Guild. The certification exam covers knowledge of soap making oils and additives, basic soap making chemistry, recipe formulation, and best practices in materials handling, manufacturing safety, and quality control.
